| Sharjah Educational Zone is seeking an experienced English instructor. The project might be extended for an additional 1-3 years.The position is available immediately, and involves teaching young and adult students based on existing curriculum.
The successful candidate must be at a native level English proficiency or equivalent. A degree in ESL, Bilingual-Bi cultural Education, E SOL, Linguistics, English, Speech, Foreign Languages, Education, or a related specialty area and at least one year of experience teaching EFL to young and adults is desired. Experience with American/British English and is preferred. Instructor duties will typically include the following: • Develop weekly lesson plans • Conduct classes while maintaining a student centered classroom • Administer periodic curriculum based skills assessment and testing (oral and written) • Conduct laboratory sessions (computer/multimedia) • Maintain student performance, attendance and academic records on a daily/weekly basis • Conduct student counseling session • Participate, when directed, in course material development • Participate in additional projects as needed. Student Level: young and adult Working Hours: 07:30-14:00, Sunday to Thursday Monthly Salary: AED 12,300 " 20,400 Tax Free (approx $3350-$5500 USD); plus one month salary bonus/year provided upon contract completion Visa: Sponsored by the school Housing: Single housing provided + furniture allowance; or furnished apartment Flight: Round trip flight reimbursed upon arrival; Airfare provided for candidate, spouse and up to 3 dependents Vacation: Summer vacation, national holidays Health Insurance Medical provided Additional Benefits: 1 month salary per year completion bonus, 2-5 foreign teachers per school, tax free salary Qualifications Native level English proficiency or equivalent Prior young and adult education experience is preferred Well organized and able to deliver lesson plan clearly Maintain professional appearance, demeanor, and working environment Adhere to all work site rules and regulations Housing, transportation and travel/to from the U.A.E will be provided.
