| Why Me? |
What makes you the best person for your job? Helping non-native speakers of English is something that comes very naturally to me. Informally, I have been doing it since high school. Formally, I have the benefit of training in both Linguistics and Speech-Language Pathology. Not only can I help you understand how things are said, I can help you understand why, so that it makes sense. The more information you have, the greater chance there is
for you to remember. Building mastery of a language is more than just knowing how to
the pronounce words. It involves understanding the culture behind the language. It means understanding how to speak to people so that they will understand YOU.
What is your best project so far? Why? The biggest project I've worked on was conducting English classes for groups of employees MBNA/Bank of America. It was a privilege to work with such talented hardworking professionals to improve not only their English language skills, but also their competence in American culture. I've worked with hundreds of individuals as well to give them the communication skills they need to move ahead in their careers and feel comfortable in the American workplace.
What do your students / customers say about you? Carol is very professional, patient and passionate about helping her students develop the skills they need. |
