Why Me?
What makes you the best person for your job?
I'm experienced, creative and flexible. I am committed and dependable, nurturing those who need it or who lack confidence. I like to mix up my classes so students have time to make connections and discover contexts for understanding unfamiliar material. All of my students SPEAK English.
For translation and editing: I'm a (published, award-winning) writer with an innate sense of how to communicate and how to convey the author's information using the right style and tone, plus I proofread my own work, cross all the t's and dot all the i's. I am fascinated by detail, and treat all documentation with that kind of care. I am also an artist and jewelry designer ... that should say more than enough about my obsessive commitment to vision.

What is your best project so far? Why?
For the past few years I've concentrated on ESL/EFL editing. I have an excellent eye for detail and am committed to the English language, not only by training, but by choice. I polish your documents, correct all the usual errors plus errors of syntax and expression. This goes for both translation and editing work. A side benefit is the amusement & pleasure I get from English by non-native speakers.
I'm proud of my work. I've written and rewritten textbooks, newspaper columns, articles, photo gallery mission statements and catalogues and magazines articles. I copyedited a novel that subsequently won an award and publication, have taught writing and proofreading. I am interested in learning new things, new subject area vocabularies.

What do your students / customers say about you?
I'm "the best!" They can now navigate the English-speaking world, whether that implies conversation, reading or listening. I'm sensitive to their needs and their cultural differences. I inspire confidence. I want the time to be enjoyable and fun for both of us. When students have specific material or needs, I am absolutely ready to do the preparation required to deliver what they want/need. That is what they are paying for!
In the past I have helped students to write job, education and internship applications and relocate to English-speaking countries. They have returned as friends and colleagues, and sometimes, as continuing students.
