What makes you the best person for your job? YOU
Author. Business owner. Consultant. Editor. Publisher. Marketing, PR, or Sales manager.
Perhaps you're sitting on a solid draft but need an experienced professional with a critical eye to act as your "first reader." Maybe you need to add interest: power-up the lead, smooth transitions, and craft an actionable close. Perhaps English is your second language; you need help making your thoughts clear to English-speaking audiences. Perhaps you're a business owner or consultant who needs to replicate your sales force--even a sales force of one--through cogent and well-written marketing and sales collateral like brochures, direct mail letters, Web sites, print ads, white papers, success stories, press releases, articles and more.
What is your best project so far? Why? ME
Call me marketer. Sales enthusiast. Lover of knowledge, ideas, and the entrepreneurial spirit. Despite much gusto to the contrary, I believe you shouldn't persuade people to buy products or services they really don't want. It's not in your best interests to try.
When it comes to business, I also believe that people love to buy, but hate to be sold. My job, then, is to facilitate the sale. It's to educate your readers, to build trust and confidence. My goal is to help readers take the next step in the buying process--and to feel good about doing so!
What do your students / customers say about you? Call me writer and editor, too. Academic, business, and marketing writer and editor. Lover of the written word. I'm admittedly not the most creative head in the business, but I love what I do and it shows. I'm a stickler for grammar, but don't claim to know everything--that's what my reference shelves are for! Typos occasionally slip by me, especially when the work entails writing or comprehensive editing. I love a well-turned phrase. I crave intelligent writing that opens my eyes--writing that makes me think and helps me grow. |
