What makes you the best person for your job?
Many editors, including myself, are organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven. What sets me apart is my approach to service. I have built my business around listening to my clients, being flexible to meet their needs, and exceeding their expectations.

What is your best project so far? Why?
Recently I helped a national nonprofit organization update and rebrand more than 50 web resources. The resources -- which included training modules, checklists, and event ideas -- had been collected over the years from various authors and organizations.

I started by creating a series of templates to visually brand the documents. I used Adobe products to design several Word and PowerPoint templates that reflected the same brand image.

Then I edited each resource, not only for grammar and style, but also for content and voice. While the tools were always available, now they reflect the organization's image and brand in a professional manner.

My clients like working with me because I listen to them, with the end result being high-quality publications that deliver their messages precisely and professionally. While editing can be very black and white, I have the experience to identify the gray areas and make decisions that are in my clients' best interest.
